Haldia Dock Complex, Kolkata Port Trust requires qualified and experienced candidate for the post of Technician (Cable Jointing)on Contractual basis as per Job description given below

The engagement will be from Indian nationals for a period of 1(one) year and on expiry of the said period, the contractual engagement will be automatically terminated. However, on expiry of the contract, HDC / KoPT reserves the right to enter into a fresh contract for such period and on such terms  as may be mutually  agreed upon by the parties.

Age: should not be below 25 years as on September 01, 2012


Qualification:

• Must have passed Madhyamik or its equivalent examination.  
• Must possess National Trade Certificate in trades of Electrician / Cable Jointing / Wireman.   
• Must have Workman’s Permit for cable jointing upto 11 KV from the Directorate of Electricity.  
• Must have knowledge of termination and straight through joints of PVC /PILC / XLPE and other cables. 
• Must have knowledge of proper laying of cables and safety in electrical work.

Experience: Should have minimum 4 years of experience in similar job.

Pay Scale: Rs.12,000/- per month.
